Just another Monday

And what it didn't show was "Jesus" had a really bad temper.
He lost it more than once and was very violent when he did.

Number one reason none of these movies ever make me feel anything more than "I wonder how long it took to build the set?".

I can't really comment on that, as I didn't personally know Jesus. The movie has been picked at for not being "historically accurate", but who really knows what went down? Not I, and certainly none of the so-called experts that profess unheralded knowledge of biblical history. I'm more than sure that Mel Gibson's movie isn't entirely accurate - it's just his vision of the event. And it's a pretty moving vision at that.

Just about every version of the Bible that has a Jesus in it (there are some that don't) like to play up the tearing down of false idols, laying waste to those who were just having a bonfire and some s'mores - or walking into a mall and flipping over everyones tables and flinging their money all about.

But then you would have to have a car chase scene where Jackie Chan shows up. Those Hollywood producers don't want to pay the extra money for that unless they can get the Rock in there too.

Just goes to show that everything is subjective - and I'm apathetically cynical at this time.
