still having fun with corgi doodles. 8D lately the only things i've been able to draw decently have been cute animals and gag strips. I wouldnt complain, except that means I can't draw pr0n as well as i might like. X3333 kidding. [maybe]

i've been trying to design a postcard that i might use as a thank you note. [i have several i need to send out. ( Read more... )

Even though it looks like it's missing something on the left-hand side, I like the first logo-less one. These creations of yours really seem like the kinds of things that should be on t-shirts, calendars, and all of that kind of gear - I do hope you finish them as they really are quite charming.

damn. incoming extremely late reply here. HELLO AUDLEY HOW HAVE YOU BEEN?

I have to say, your comment and another one down here completely changed the design of this card. o__o; I had no intention of using it, it's so simple ... but it grew on me after you liked it. And then, I went to the print shop where I was coerced into test printing it on that nifty linen paper. [is that how you spell it? linen? like the fabric, not the man...]

Summary: I picked that design.

So, seriously, how HAVE you been? I feel like some sort of extremely crappy friend for abandoning you. T____T *hug*

I feel validated that you chose the design I favoured - it's like suddenly I'm the most important doll in Toytown (or I was a week and a half ago).

Oh, you don't feel that badly about it ;)

that is brain-breakingly cute.

and i second the first design too--the others detract more from the cute-as-sin corgi.

I agree with the two comments above me: the first design! The others look just a tad too busy (compared to it. I don't know how they would do on their own) and distract from the cute.

The cute, however, is high quality. Kudos to you.

Hi Cari! Long time no see ^^;;
The designs you made for the whole corgi series are simply wonderful, and again, I am amazed each time at your mastery of the color and color scheme choices. Personally, I prefer the last design here - if it is intended to be a card, I think it would look more "finished" design-wise in real size. However, any one of those would work very well - you ask us to choose between great, excellent and perfect :)

I vote for the third and last ones. I think they incorporate the right elements for both a thank-you note and a cute corgi display. I like that the checkered pattern fades instead of being the same throughout, and the bunny-eared symbol says more than the word "buncorgi" on its own, unless you want to start a specific brand and put "buncorgi" on people's tongues.

The "Thank you!" works best with the pink dots along the bottom -- their placement gives the card a hand-drawn quality that doesn't look placed there.
