i'm aware that swedish is influenced by danish a little bit but as for my knowledge of swedish language - you're flattering me. it was nothing but curiosity.
i just wanted to sing along with hans and know how to pronounce the words properly.
i dont know why but with lyrics it became even harder for me to immitate swedish...
the great number of letter with dots and other wierd signs above makes me feel so unsure
btw a friend of mine told me that russian language is influenced by swedish one.
since you're learnin russian could you say about this something? how reasonable is it to consider so?

It doesn't appear to me that Swedish and Russian have a lot in common at first sight. The words that are similiar (for example pjäs and пьеса) eventually appear to have its origin in other languages (in this instance - the French word pièce). So I don't really know, but I can imagine that there are some influences around St. Petersburg as they used to have a lot to do with the Swedes.
