Hooray for a new pdoc and Lamictal! Lamictal certainly has a lot of good press right now. The main downside I thought of for you is that it takes a while to reach a therapeutic dose. I was on it for about 6 weeks when I went up on the dose and got a rash. Because of the paranoia about Lamictal and rashes, the pdoc took me off and none will put me on again. I didn't have any other side effects though. A word of advice: If you get a rash, see a dermatologist. If the doc says it's not Steven-Johnson's syndrome, then stay on Lamictal long enough to find out if it works for you. Anyway, soooo happy you like your new pdoc!

And congrats on getting a better shift!
