While watching a trailer online for the new Wolverine movie---yes, I'm going to see it when it's released!----I found the most n00bish question ever asked on one of the comments:

Why doesn't baby Wolverine have bone claws?

Answer: Wolverine's claws and adamantium skeleton weren't there when he was born. Wolverine's only mutant power is his healing factor. The claws and the armored skeleton were grafted onto him as part of a military experiment.
