"What are you talking about?"

Bewildered and irritated, Edgar demanded.

"Earl, how could you? You have deceived my daughter, and I forbid you to claim innocence on this matter!"

"I was not aware that you had a daughter."

Furious, Lord Constable replied -

"Lucinda is an innocent lady waiting to debut into society this year. I did not expect that you will use such underhand and shameful methods to deceive my daughter!"

The Lord then extended his hand, handing over a diary with ribbon trims on the cover to Edgar.

"This is my daughter's diary. It is written that you have wrote my daughter love letters, and you have also visited her in secret."

"Aren't you prying into your daughter's privacy, Lord?"

"I am her father. I need to know that my daughter will be happy and safe at all times, even if I have to pry into her diary."

"Whatever you say, in short, I have not written any letters to your daughter."

A woman has a very clear memory, Edgar replied flatly.

"If you are furious that your daughter has loss her virginity, it is best to confirm with your daughter."

"Vir-virginity?! So you not only stole her first kiss, but her virginity as well!"

Just a kiss?

Edgar shrugged.

"Just a mere kiss, and I must be held responsible? Her name was Lucinda, am I correct? Well, if you do not mind, she can be on the waiting list for being the fifteenth bride."

Edgar half-jokingly replied, and enraged, Count Constable left.

"Lord Edgar, fifteen would be too little."

After the guests left, a voice quietly spoke up.

"Ah, really!"

"As far as I remember..."

"Raven, even if you know, you shouldn't say it out loud. Especially not to Lydia."

"Yes. I absolutely will not."

Whenever Edgar has made Lydia unhappy, she would always seek Raven's help.

While recalling the unpleasant visitors from the afternoon, Edgar left the study with a sigh.

Although the whole situation was strange and had angered Count Constable, it would be his and Lucinda's issues. He would not associate with their problem.

Yes, as long as Lydia does not of hear this incident, it would be fine.

Even if the marriage wasn't causing enough problems for Lydia, it would still be terrible to cause Lydia further unrest.

That being said, to Edgar, this was something he needed to pay extra attention to.

But in comparison, there was a greater issue for Edgar to solve.

The society would be more troublesome... no?

Not surprisingly, Lydia was as obstinate and stubborn as ever.

With the thoughts of the marriage preparation, Lydia would soon come to realize her wedding with Edgar was a reality.

Despite Lydia's caution - it should be wholeheartedly easy for the both of them to look forward to the wedding.

However, things were never this simple.

There will always be problems emerging, although it was sad to admit.

Indeed, it will be hard for Lydia to be fully accepted into the upper class noblemen, but nevertheless, what Edgar truly cared for is for Lydia to be happy.

To avoid the increasing pressure for Lydia's acceptance into society, Edgar wanted to prepare for marriage as soon as possible.

"Lord Edgar, Miss Lydia has left." Raven spoke quietly as he entered the room.

Although Raven face was void of any emotion, Edgar could easily tell that he felt uneasy.

"Ah, Miss Lydia was also angry with me, and even said no to seeing you, Milord."

It was apparent that Raven was disappointed.

"Hey, Raven. How do you think I could convince Lydia?"

"It would be impossible."

"Ah, is that so?"

"Miss Lydia will most likely not change her mind so easily."

Indeed.

"Lord Edgar, please do not anger Miss Lydia."

Raven said seriously, as though the hurry would change Lydia's mind in marrying Edgar.

Edgar was overjoyed with his incoming marriage, and Raven was equally happy. If Lydia had a change of mind, Raven would definitely be upset with Edgar.

Whatever the situation, Raven will never doubt or disobey his master. However, if the situation concerns Lydia, Raven would only offer a small semblance of advice - and it was incredibly easy to tell that he was overjoyed with Edgar and Lydia's union.

"However, before any unfortunate events were to occur, I am certain that we are able to prepare in advance - as long as I can give her my all."

Edgar had an enemy, and because of his opponent, he was able to meet Lydia.

In order for Edgar to escape the evil clutches of his foe, he had traveled to the Fairy land to gain the title of the Earl of Ibrazel. During this period, Lydia had devotedly stayed by Edgar's side, as his Fairy Doctor.

In the midst of manipulating evil goblins and conflicting with enemy organisations, Edgar had unconsciously but deeply fallen in love with Lydia.
