Dollhouse Improves...

Okay, the last two eps have been really SOLID. I'm finally getting into it. (One wonders how much sooner that would've happened if Fox hadn't required that the first five eps work pretty much as stand-alones ( Read more... )

Dollhouse is garbage from what little I've seen of it. Maybe I'll give it another chance... but most likely not.

If you saw any of the first five eps ('cept maybe #2), I could understand why you'd feel that way.

Season one was good (for the ignorant northern virginia suburban types, at least ;))
Season two sucks.
"volume three" is kinda iffy. "volume four" has been pretty decent.

It also kept cracking me up that she was constantly in her cheerleading suit. They only wear those on game day!! Not even at practice, & certainly not to school every day. And you only do bonfires for Homecoming!

Ok, enough. ( ;

Can I skip S2 & make S3 make sense? Or do I have to suffer through it?

I think you can skip S2. There might be characters you don't recognize, but I think they do the "previously on Heroes" stuff...
and, by the way, we're still on season three, but S3 is split up into "volume three" (which was up until December) and "volume four" (which started in late January of this year). Not sure how you'd watch Volume 3, since it's not out on DVD.

you could conceivably just skip right to episode six without missing much. ep 6 was the first decent ep with backstory. ep seven was good in some parts and painful in others. episode eight was really solid. and last night's ep, ep 9, FINALLY felt like joss-quality work.

Aren't there lots of D&D parties and WoW raids on Friday nights for the geeks and nerds?

Do people still play D&D? I suppose WoW could be a distraction.

I'm gonna have to smack you. And take away any geek cred you previously earned.
