pavanne was on her way back to Cambridge but stopped in for lunch, which would have been Chinese had any of the restaurants in the area been open on a Saturday lunchtime. Playing squash tomorrow after work. Played snooker and pool yesterday. Went to pub. Birthday in a fortnight, hoping to be in Cambridge to see most of you the weekend before it.

My first Christmas / New Year away from home went off without a hitch. Christmas at pavanne's was nice - not stressful but I was quite glad to come home when I did. I think I'd exhausted the stay-put power of listening to my iPod Mini and reading most of pavanne's books.

Went along to pavanne's Christmas party with New Energy Finance people. It was a little awkward to begin with as I was the only non-NEF person there, but once the wine started flowing it was fine.
