I have found myself caught short by winter. I have one jumper that goes over my belly and none of my coats fasten. But all that is bearable. The problem I had today was that because it's suddenly much colder my clothes are taking an unfeasably long time to dry. Last night we watched Curse of the Golden Flower.

I thought it was very good. I was remined of how excellent Gong Li is as both an actress and a possessor of a fine cleavage. The costume porn was top notch too.

I don't get it. What's the attraction? People keep telling me that they loved being pregnant and so should I. Well I don't. So there. Ner.

I am loving The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco. I've been meaning to read it for ages and now I am I'm very glad. It very much deserves the reputation it has. I didn't know if it would be heavy going cos he is an academic and generally praised by his ilk. But it's just really good.
