1. The cuffs were not functioning to their fullest capacity at that time. I did considerable injury to my tongue when my mouth was not otherwise occupied but was not allowed to enjoy sleep very often. You can imagine.

2. I will protect you.

3. Eventually I will be strong enough that, if for some reason I displease him enough that he would betray me, I can survive the consequences.
