The R&U I've been getting ready to prop is going to have a strong focus in jazz as a trumpet player. I want to push into the Gil Evans ala Out of the Cool, which is rooted in the late 50's early sixties and need to decide between Chicago and NYC. Organised Crime will also play a big part so i need to pick a time frame and location to set the embrace where crime and cool jazz movement would be very prominent.

What is your recommendation?
