Was that one of the reasons why she got it, this attitude? Oh god. Whoops, I did it just then! Oh budha, I mean. Atleast we can take something from the fact that amongst societies with this attitude, there are evidently people such as yourself.

Ugh, *shudder*. Perhaps that transfer will happen, huh? You don't want to be going to a school with that kind of an anti-scholarship mentality.

That said, there's no harm in you speaking out, as long as you're eloquent and respect everyone's ideas. The worst that can happen is you lose your scholarship, but do you want to be going to this school anyway?

Furthermore, if people at other schools get wind of you speaking out, you may be offered scholarships at other schools, if you play your cards right! Something to think about...

Oooh! Now that's brilliant. I could really make a difference in this, but it all hinges on what I say and how I say it as well as who it's directed to. There's been a load of controversy over my school in the past few years and it just seems to be getting worse. It's about time somebody spoke up about this and I wouldn't mind stepping up to the plate at all. This is supposed to be a liberal arts school, not a conservative, censored arts school.

All right! If you do decide to actively speak out, best of luck to you!

Don't you dare. ;) I think I've just found my rebel streak and I'll be damned if I don't run with it.

Just because you don't agree with what the author says doesn't mean you should knock its value as academic material. For crying out loud, can no one at this school be objective? Do these people realize that they can read books without having to agree with what's said in them?

Well said.
