...re Twilight: didst thy sibling - the one who's an imperial spacefleet admiral - tell you about the Twilightization* of Forks? One was most amused, passing through there on one's Washington roadtrip. You can has a Twilight tour of the town! See Bella's school! See the post office! You can even has a Twilight-themed motel room for your stay! One had the impression that they were...not unaccustomed to the sight of groups of fangirls squeeing about all this, so the tourism thing is apparently working.

*Not that I blame them; if I lived in Forks, I'd want to turn it into a Twilight mecca too, for the sake of the local economy. It's probably the only thing of significance that's ever happened to that place.

Yes! She did tell me about that. As stated ad nauseam in the book, there is ::nothing:: happening in Forks, so I'm sure the locals enthusiastically promote the squeeing. I think I would perhaps stab myself repeatedly in the face before living there, but that's me.
