Even if what they did was a childish vanity attempt, those kind of comments are pretty creeper, and I can't say I would have reacted any differently had such things been said to my girl, even in a supposed joking manner.
that's just the thing... as far as the world was concerned.. she wasn't "your girl" anymore. no more claim[in this specific scenario]. Sorry, if you weren't in on the joke [or bet in this instance] mister... but be angry with the girl doing the experiment without your knowledge. If seeking an opportunity with someone that's now supposedly single suddenly is creepy... then I feel the better things in life will pass you by and life is too short to do that. People toss that creeper word around way too easily, in a sense i prefer being called an asshole.. which i actually am.
Basically grow the fuck up and get over insecurity. [not you]
Ben, I gotta agree with Joey on this one. No matter how obnoxiously immature they are, if that is your way of "seeking an opportunity" you may want to re-evaluate your methods.
well its ONE method of "seeking opportunities" and honestly i don't think you have the authority to say its "right" or "wrong." People who have employed the method with success. I do feel, however, that its the thought of chicken shit dudes who don't take a risk think that its creepy. Honestly you never know, for sure, how someone will take the advance until one tries... and lets say perchance that a person hesitates [due to whatever], someone else takes the risk and the opportunity. All choices are half chance. People are going to fail a great many more times than they will succeed.
bottom line: the entire "hitting on" thing was meant as a joke. while i agree its debatable if it was funny or not. [not to me,though, it was hilarious] it just boils down to an insecure little pussy who's scared that his way to hot girlfriend will leave him over a god damned FB comment. Yes, I'm passing judgment, being a filthy hypocrite, but I'm not trying to get you onto my "side," I'm merely asserting my point of view.
