THE RULES
The Five General Rules:
1 - Quality Counts: Please take time and consider your posts while typing them up and do the same for your tags when replying to posts. Everyone here is doing the best they can with their characters and the Mods are doing the best they can with the stories and missions. Everyone should try their best with everything.
2 - Canon Matters: Though this is a panfandom game with lots of character from lots of backgrounds those backgrounds are very important to interactions. Think of your application as your audition and if it’s clear to the Mods that you’re not familiar with your character’s background, whether canon or OC, you will be rejected. We only allow one of each character as well. If the slot is filled, you’re out of luck.
If you need more information on this game here’s a helpful list:
- The Game Premise - - Taken Characters - - Mod Contact Info for Questions - 3 - Please Be Committed: This is not a two week vacation, I’m bored, I’m going to join game. Plots, character relationships, and character development take time to evolve. Your character may not be the center of every story or mission. You’re welcome to do person plots and storylines on your own but if that’s all you’re after, this game is probably not for you.
4 - Be Interactive: While your character will obviously develop special relationships and special friendships with other characters, make sure to try to interact with everyone. While distance is a factor in this game, you shouldn’t be afraid to tag a new muse or a new OC. Try playing with a character not from your character’s canon. You’ll develop more friendships and more chances to play the more social you are.
5 - Wank is Whack: Not everyone is going to get along with everyone else. Characters are not always going to get along with other characters. That’s the nature of personalities and the Mods are happy to moderate any disputes that may arise but if we get wind of wank or bad mouthing players/characters just to be mean and upsetting, you’re gone. We are firm on this.
These are the five general rules of the comm. Remember these and you’ll do fine. Below are more detailed rules. Each section only has 5 rules so please at least skim those.

Application Rules
1 - Once you fill out the application, just go over it again. You might catch some mistakes or maybe want to add something more. Just a two minute perusal and you’ll have a much better application in the long run.
2 - If your character has a past relationship with another character, whether canon or OC, if that character is in the game make sure that you have the player’s permission to have that relationship. We don’t want to box in current or future players into relationships they don’t want.
3 - Feel free to edit your character’s History, Appearance, or Personality as they evolve through gameplay. If a relationship develops, feel free to add it in. If their personality changed, go ahead and note that change. Applications are great for other players to read and get a general idea of your character. Keeping it updated will keep players updated as well.
4 - Keep in mind that your application is your audition for us. Things like poor grammar, poor spelling and very weak answers will reflect poorly on your character. Also make sure if your character is an OC that they’re not a Mary-Sue. Unsure what a Mary-Sue is? Look it up and compare your character, take a few online tests. The key is to just think about your application while you’re filling it out.
5 - If we find someone plagiarizing their application or stealing character ideas you are instantly rejected. Things here are the intellectual property of the writers and for canon characters the original creators. OCs can have powers similar to canon characters but they cannot be carbon copies and you cannot steal OCs from other writers because you’d think they’d be cool and you wish you’d thought of that.

The Game Rules
1 - No power playing. This means you must have permission from other players before you do anything to their characters. Sending a PM or an IM doesn’t take that long and will really make your life easier. If a player feels that their character has been God Modded, please contact the Mods and we will help sort things out.
2 - Everyone has a character limit of three characters. This game is very involved and we don’t want people overburdened trying to respond to things with every character they have. Once you’ve applied for your three characters, that’s it so please consider what characters you want to play carefully. We don’t make exceptions on this limit.
3 - In your character’s journal, you need to have a post with your application in it so people can peruse and have a good idea of your character for themselves. You also need a disclaimer saying that the journal is for a game, give credit to the canon character creators and the universe they’re from. Everyone who’s familiar with muse journals is probably looking at us sideways for mentioning this but hey we like being careful.
4 - There will be occasional activity checks, just to see who’s playing and if anyone wants to drop a character. Make sure to tag these. If you don’t, you and your characters will be put on hiatus and you’ll be sent a message asking if you want to keep playing. If you don’t respond within a two week period, you and your characters will be labeled inactive and you’ll have a month to reactive them. If you don’t, they’ll be removed from the game.
5 - If you do something in AIM or something related to the game in a comm like Six Word Stories that effects the overall plot of the game please post these things to your character’s journal or make a general post about it in the game comm. We know people do things outside the comm that have no effect to the game and we don’t care about that, but if it does effect a plot line or mission, that needs to be made known.

Player Rules
1 - If a dispute arises, contact the Mods. We’re called Moderators for a reason and we’re happy to help moderate any disputes. While in character conflicts make for a good game, player conflicts do not. We want everyone to get along and are happy to help smooth things over and resolve the issues.
2 - If you have an idea for a storyline, by all means let us know! The Mods are open to suggestions and ideas. A game where everyone can chip in and provide ideas is a much better game than one where mods decide everything. Join in, give things, and be creative.
3 - If you are unhappy with the game, please don’t be afraid to contact the Mods. We want feedback from our players so that we can make a better game and a fun game for everyone. However it is up to the Mods whether or not we will implement your suggestions. We are the Mods and we get the final say.
4 - If you need to take a break or real life is driving you nuts, just post a thing in the OOC comm and let us know so that way we can adjust any plots or count you in for any activity checks that might occur while you’re gone.
5 - The Pentalties for the Game are as Follows:
First Offense: Moderates will contact you and let you know you’ve broken a rule(s). It’s a gentle reminder. We’ll ask you to fix it and make any apologies that might need to be made. There’s no harm, no foul in the first offense.
Second Offense: You’ll get another message saying hey, this is your second offense. We warned you once and if you do it again, you’ll be put on a hiatus. This is a more stern warning. Don’t expect us to be all friendly with this one.
Third Offense: So, you’ve broken a rule again, well this time you’re on hiatus. You can’t play at the comm for two weeks. That should give you plenty of time to review the rules, realize what you’ve been doing and not do it again when you’re welcomed back.
Fourth Offense: Alright, that’s it, we’ve had enough. You and your characters are gone. We’ve warned you three times, we even blocked you playing and yet you still refuse to learn the rules. Now you’re gone. There’s no flexibility on this rule.

Posting Rules
1 - Open or Close Post: If a close post make sure to include who the post is for.
2 - Location: Because this game takes place in three different cities and all over the world this is needed so people can know if their character is able to tag or not.
3 - Adult Material Warning: If your post includes adult material, whether violence or sex, please warn people. While everyone here is of age to view this material, warnings are nice for people who may not want to read it or tag for it. Keep in mind this is not a smut community, however. If you just want smut with no plot there are plenty of other places to do that.
4 - While there is no limit on how long your post can be, try to make at least two paragraphs. This isn’t six words, seven words, number words community. People need background, setting and something to motivate them to tag, please try to include these things and something open for people to tag on especially if it’s an open to all post.
5 - Do not spam post the community if no one seems to be tagging your posts. Please wait until your post is off the front page before posting another. Do not repeat these posts, using the same thing over and over again until someone finally tags. If you don’t seem to be getting attention, post to the OOC community asking people if they want to do something that’s why it’s there.
