I'm in the midst of unpacking and I hate unpacking a lot so I decided to take a break. I arrived in New York with one little suitcase with underpants, a couple shirts and some skirts inside. I came back with a whole lot more. I was much afeared of getting in trouble going through customs but luckily all crises were averted. Phew!

And are these MAC and cheese any good? I'm just the pickiest person when it comes to fake cheese. In fact, I think I tried everything and I even have trouble with regular tofutti orange slices (I eat them sometimes but still, its hard) Veganrella is terrible, ect ect, I want good mac and cheese goddamnit!

I've haven't tried the mac and cheese yet, but I'll report back to you either tonight or tomorrow once I do. I want to get some broccoli to put in it because the only thing better than vegan mac&cheese is vegan mac&cheese with little broccolis! Mmmmmm!

Tofutti slices are pretty much only good in grilled cheese sandwiches. Vegan Gourmet is amazing for nachos. The only thing I like for mac&cheese is to make a nutritional yeast sauce. It looks and smells disgusting and isn't at all like "regular" macaroni and cheese, but it's delicious and comforting!

What girly magazine did you buy? I only let myself buy them as reading material when I'm travelling, but I have such a weakness for them!

I bought Bazaar, cause it has a very fashionable issue with Gwen Stefani on top (I LOVE LOVE LOVE her hair)

Don't forget the updates on the mac and cheese, with brocco!

You are too kind!

But dude, seriously. Pascale and I were seriously like "HOLYSHITHOLYSHITPIERREWOULDLOVE THIS" every two seconds in Williamsburg. Especially in this one independent bookstore where I bought a book about the history of colours and she bought a zillion and three zines.

We want to go back this summer, I think. Come with us!

The colour book looks amazing, except that it's written in about 50 different fonts which is kind of annoying. I haven't read it yet, but I bet it will blow my mind!

Anyway, I WILL TOTALLY KEEP YOU POSTED! I hadn't gone anywhere except Halifax in forever. I haven't even been to Montreal since August :( And hotels, nothing! It's all about befriending kind people and having them take you in!

I wish there were more Newman's Own products in Canada, as he is extremely attrative, even in his old age, and I would like him to adorn my pantry.

All of your NY finds are fantastic. Except for that Vegan Mac and Cheese. I saw it at a store here and it was covered in dust. I can't see the box without thinking of eating horribly dusty kraft dinner.

Oh, Paul Newman is a total hottie, I agree! He makes a mean balsamic salad dressing too! I think that and the Newman-Os are the only products of his that I've tried, and both are scrumptious.

Where the heck did you see that mac & cheese in Ottawa? I have been looking for it everywhere pretty much as long as I've been vegan, and that's a long time! Thankfully my packages were totally dust free, although hidden in the bowels of the Whole Foods shelving.

Oh my goodness, I can't remember the stores name. I think it was the Natural Food Pantry in the Market. Be warned, I think the Mac and Cheese has been in that store since you became vegan.

I really like the dress with unmatching tights!

Also, I love tofurkey's stuff. Not every day, mind you, but I did cook a tofurkey for Easter last year, which was fantastic good times.

You do? I sometimes like unmatching but I feel like the bright blue with the bright greens/oranges is maybe too much? I was (am) wearing it around the house with the bright yellow shoes too so yeah, it's a lot of colour. I think it looks cute but I don't want to blind people, you know?

I fucking love Tofurky so much. Well, the "jurky" and drumettes and dumplings are disgusting, but everything else is delicious. I got food poisoning from the roast once and swore to never eat it again, but that didn't last long. I fell in love with the slices last time I was in LA. The slices are worlds better than the roast, but I haven't ever seen them in Canada. Very sad :(

I can get slices in pretty much any organic foodstore in Winnipeg!! As well as the gravy. I haven't had the jurky/drumettes/dumplings, though.

Maybe a bit too much, except on bright summer days, but more I was commenting specifically on liking the dress! It's darling, dude.

By the by, I'm curious to know your reactions to the budget and the NDP reaction so far.

Oh, thank you!

I never thought I would live to see the day where there would be images of office supplies on clothing. It's very exciting! That scissors and heart shirt also came in black with a little fabric heart applique instead of the cut lines. They were both adorable and it was so hard to choose between the two!
