I'm sick again. It hit me when I was waiting in line for the Greyhound to come back to Ottawa. I was so thankful that it didn't hit me during my trip that I didn't even mind that it made me fall into a deep sleep instead of studying. This kind of sick isn't so bad because it encourages me to slow down. I spent yesterday being kind to myself. I had ( Read more... )

I don't know if you still want to take the bus with me on Friday.. I reckon I'll be going at around the 3 o'clock bus. However, don't waste a day at my expense. But I reckon there will be a fine game of queer ladies baseball on saturday that you should come to, I always poo-poohed it as a sport but I was finally converted last time I was in Montreal. Or we can at least keep in touch and meet sometime..

This sounds perfect because I was actually just about to email you to say that Thursday is no good for me as I have prior commitments during the night! Mornings are not so much my thing and I need time to pack, so taking an afternoon bus with you would be great!

We should definitely do something in Montreal, because your suggestion of a four way date with Christina and Dom filled my little heart with glee!

oh, dearest pam, your trip to Toronto was my trip to Philadelphia. i've come back to a mountain of messes and as you so wisely put it this mechanical routine. my first week back was one without feeling, but more so one of piecing situations and conflicts back together and tearing others apart. all a stitch effort to reorganization, for even a week's vacation can make for a strange homecoming.

Dearest Steffie, I try to look on the bright side in that if life were like that all the time, visits wouldn't be quite so nice. But yeah, I totally know the feeling and it stinks! You really make me want to go on a Philadelphia vacation soonsoonsoon!

This is very true.. I suppose that is why a vacation is a vacation after all! Oh! And if you ever venture to Philadelphia one day, don't forget (to call me!) about the wonderful food market! When you walk in you can already see five different countries of food before you and it just gets greater and pretty vegan/vegetarian-friendly as you make your way through! You'd love it!! My favourite was the Dutch shop. Great ice cream and fantastic costumes/hair!

OKAY IVE JUST DISCOVERED THAT MAGGIE'S IS ABOUT 2 MINUTES AWAY FROM MY HOUSE.

this could be a bad, bad thing for me to have discovered, considering i want to go RIGHT NOW but they're pretty pricy :(

There are many great restaurants in Toronto, apparently. I'm going to go sometime just for an eating tour!

Maggies was pretty expensive but HOLY SO GOOD. And lots of food! The french toast was five slices of bread with a bunch of fruit slices on the side. You can also get a side order of French toast that is a lot cheaper so it's probably two or three slices of bread. Also they had garlic breakfast fries that everyone says are delicious but I couldn't handle them so early in the morning so I can't attest to that personally. But you should definitely go sometime! Bring someone and make them share the French toast with you!
