Bedding Choices

Please share your thoughts on the two bedding options. They're totally opposite from each other - one clean and classic the other a bit frilly. The green in the frilly one isn't as bright, apple green as it appears in the picture (closer to sage) and the pinkish design that you see is floral and more subtle than it appears and is more of a rose ( Read more... )

Hmmm, that's tough. Its good that you've seen / felt both in person. I picked out bedding for Gracie online that I absolutely loved but when I saw it in the store the color was more peachy than pink and rather cheap. I love the green. Yes, its frilly and that might take some getting used to. I can't make the pic larger to see it better. You definitely don't need a diaper stacker though... I was going to reply to your other post but got distracted.

Ahhh....But look at how pretty and frilly that diaper stacker is ;)

Yeah, it is a world of difference looking at the stuff in person. When I saw that first one in the catalog I skipped past it. Then I noticed they had it on a bed in the store and was immediately drawn to it and asked what it was. When she told me it was that I saw in the catalog, I couldn't believe it.

Soon enough your baby will be big enough to mess with the diaper stacker or pull it off the crib, and also soon enough you'll have to drop the mattress height and you won't need a long dust ruffle. I'm still mad at how early I had to take out A's pretty crib bumper because I was afraid he could stand on it. It's a tough call -- I actually gravitate toward the frilly set but obviously the other will go better with your silver sage walls. Are you sure you don't want pale pink walls? :)

If I got the diaper stacker I would probably tie it to the changing table (I'm just getting one of those with the slots and not a dresser since we have a dresser in that room).

What I hate is that most of these sets come with a comforter or coverlet and you can't even use those in the crib, can you? I'd rather trade out for the close hamper instead.

I love the second set, but you are right, there is a bit of a lack of color the whole ensemble. Maybe you could find something that's 'like' number 2 but not as 'non colorful' (if that's a word, heh heh) :)

I like the second one the best. You could find an accent color that you like and add some punch of color that way. Maybe pull the color in from the walls? You could add ribbons for color too.

I like both, but the first is my favorite. How cute!
