Wintergrass

Jonobie and I went to a bluegrass festival in Tacoma called Wintergrass.  I was really impressed, so much so that it was almost worth the exhorbitant $65 price of admission.

We're not certain if there was a cheaper way to get in.  For example, we didn't do any workshops, so we're not sure if there was a cheaper non-workshop admittance.  But they ( Read more... )

I go to Falcon Ridge Folk Fest every summer, and a lot of the same people go to Wintergrass. Well, some of the more hardcore folks, anyway. I highly recommend FRFF, but it almost always conflicts with the summer NABCs :(

you saw HOW many bands perform and spent HOW many hours at this event?

...for $65?

I'm not sure it was "exhorbitant"...

Well, okay, consider that Sasquatch is about the same, and they have a lot of expensive bands there.

I guess it feels less pricy when you realize that it's equivalent to $50 concert tickets where you'd have to pay taxes and a ticketmaster charge.
