I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN. I wanted a really good hug at least. And then ABED WALKED AWAY. I am so worried about him right now! I don't even know what to do with myself. Obviously this is not a drama, so it will probably resolve itself in a couple episodes...it's not like Abed is going to go crazy and kill everyone and that's how they'll end the show...right? RIGHT?!

For some reason I always thought that if someone was going to walk away, it would be Troy. But it's like Troy pushes just a little bit and Abed runs away. DON'T DO THAT ABED. YOU HAVE SO MANY REASONS TO STAY.

Just think, there's an upcoming episode with blanket forts. THE BLANKET FORTS WILL MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER.

I actually think it's good that there's some conflict in their relationship, and that it's coming from Abed's problems rather than the sense you get sometimes that Troy wants or needs more in his life than Abed can give him. BUT DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO PAINFUL?

One thing that I'm really loving about Troy right now is that I get the impression that he knows there's more out there for him... He just really, truly, would rather stay with Abed.

If Abed was my friend I would never do anything productive either....but then that's what happens when you fall in love with someone as amazing as Abed! I think Troy is sadly realizing that their relationship is a bit codependent...Unfortunately I think the best thing for Troy is to have a girlfriend outside of his friendship with Abed...but we all know what we really want to happen (even if we know it never will). :(

The angst actually made me kind of excited because it makes their relationship so much more slashy with all the conflicted and confused feelings flying around, but of course I want them to kiss and make up so, so bad. COME ON BOYS, NOW KISS. ;)

I know EXACTLY what you mean! It took their relationship to another, less superficial level, which is both really good and really sad, but I love it! The only other time something close to that happened was when Abed sacrificed himself to the zombies and they had the Han/Leia line. It was a joke, a perfectly executed joke, but it was also sad and touching and adorable!

This! Yeah, also I think that this canon scene was wonderful for fanon slash fiction fodder, as in explaining how Troy and Abed would act in a conflict. I think this definitely revealed a lot more about their characters than 10 episodes would have, since they're all so happy-go-lucky all the time. It really grounded the characters and made them seem more real to me.

They've been needing this to be less superficial. If they have to work through something like this, their friendship will be stronger.

I just found this Troy/Abed fic that is set right after this episode. OMG I've never felt this sad/horny at the same time. Except maybe with John/Sherlock fics....
