Classes started up again in May, so my reading has been way down since then. Additionally, the library system has put all the YA books in a SEPARATE LIBRARY. Probably I could go in there without being hassled, but I've only ever seen actual teens in there, and I feel weird about invading their turf. TRAGEDY.

The library here has them in a separate room, although still in the library. But if it's not a time that teens are expected to be able to be at the library, i.e. during the day in school year months, the room's locked. You can get the librarian to let you in, but then they stand there while you find your books, looking at you like you're a trespasser. Not conducive to browsing...

"I never wanted to be Indiana Jones, so the analysis of *how* archaelogists made their discoveries was a bit boring to me."

That's ok, Indiana Jones wasn't interested in how archaeologists find stuff either.

Oooh, excellent burn!

I had a weird realization a few years ago; I've never actually seen most of the Indiana Jones movies. I've seen snippets of each of them, but I don't believe I've ever seen a complete movie. So I'm probably not the best person to critique the poor guy (besides, he'll never get tenure, which is punishment enough).

Maybe I *should* watch them, though, to use Indy as my methadone for the heroin(e) that is River Song.

I feel retrojected by the content of this lj post.
