Bender's Milestones

I just realized that Bender had his OCD surgery a year ago today, November 13.

And, he's having his AKC agility debut this weekend.

The thought of Bender's debut scares me almost as much as his surgery did!

I hope I have good stuff to report this weekend. At the very least, it will be a rip-roaring time!

We go in a week. I'm in denial. I mean I am trying to get ready for post op. But I can not imagine letting them take our baby boy for surgery or what the next month or two will be

If it's any consolation... it wasn't nearly as bad as I anticipated it would be.

It took me a long time to get over watching every step Bender took to see if he was limping.

But I'm nearly there!

It's only 8 weeks, and think how good he'll be afterward.

Be very diligent on his confinement. YOu must let him heal well in order to insure the best outcome!

Get lots of chewies. See a physical therapist so he gets what he needs there (they'll probably want you to walk, walk, walk, but see one!).

I bought a lot of different toys that I rotated through to keep thinks interesting.
