It's a GIRL!
While I know I would have loved a boy just as much, I am THRILLED that the baby is a girl. It's what we were both hoping for. And, more importantly, the nurse said everything looked healthy and measured at the right size for how far along I am.
Can you see the (semi-creepy) baby face? As the nurse said, it's still pretty skeletal at this point. For those of you who don't obsessively look at ultrasound pictures, try looking just below the center of the photo - there's the head. You can see the two eye sockets, and the pointy little chin!
And the best picture we could get of the ladybits:
My sister went with us to the ultrasound, which was nice, since she won't be able to be there for the birth. We all went out for celebratory smoothies afterwards :-)
