[Five minutes ago - not even, actually - she’d been walking down the aisle of an airplane, smacking her bag into people in a rush to get to the bathroom. Clayton had said something - she couldn’t even remember what it was at this point, and Samantha had gotten up in a huff, snatched all of her carry on items - idol included -, and stormed into the

The truth of the message you received has yet to be verified, as far as I know. There are little answers to be had from the lord of this Keep, or his staff.

I’m beginning to see that, thanks for the input.
[From her tone, the sarcasm is obvious. Her accent probably isn’t the best considering she isn’t a native speaker, but the inflection, tone, and pronunciation? All perfect.]
So we are all just sitting ducks? Waiting for…what? My ‘world’ to get fixed?
Yeah, right.
[…A beat.]
And why are we speaking in old ass Persian? You some sort of history professor? [Some of her words incorporate more…modern Turkish translations considering there really probably weren’t translations to Old Persian for some of these words.]
Knock it off and speak English - [This word is said in English because…well. Hngh. Not really an ancient Persian word for English.] - I am not in the mood for a pop quiz.

You speak Persian! This is marvelous. You are the first I have encountered here that does, aside from my brother.
[Reading text just isn't the same as conversing with someone in his own language. He recognizes 'English,' as the language many of the people speak here, and gives a light head shake - not that she can see it.]
I apologize, but I'm afraid I don't speak English. It doesn't exist where I'm from, as far as I know.
To answer your earlier question - yes, I believe waiting is what they are expecting us to do. It is not what some of us have elected to do, however.

[Seriously, what is wrong with everyone.]
...It doesn't exist. [See? SEE? This is what she's talking about.] Really. Maybe you just haven't gone west enough! [Her tone is *brightly* sarcastic!] Try that on for size when you go home, kiddo. Tell me how the tea is.
[People thinking they're from ancient Persia SERIOUSLY? These people were in denial. What was this, some kind of nerd convention?]
I'm not exactly someone that 'waits around'. [No, Samantha tends to just...charge forward.
And not think about it.
That'd probably explain why she was almost killed like, four times prior to ending up here.]

Ah. Yes, it was quite difficult for me to believe that other worlds different from my own existed, as well. Particularly when all I met were people who merely spoke a language I did not understand. But I had the perhaps fortunate experience of meeting a gryphon shortly after my arrival here, which was somewhat more convincing.
[And then there were the zombies, which also helped quite a bit.]
Neither am I, though I do not like to move into anything uninformed. Sadly, there seems to be little information of use available here.

You really don't understand English? [Wait - what.]
A what? You do realize you sound like a fool, don't you?
[Also, she was partially serious about the west thing.]
That, I'm getting. This little note is pretty useless.

[He chuckles slightly.]
A gryphon. Yes, I quite realize what it sounds like. I would hardly had believed it myself, had I not seen it with my own eyes.
[Shush, Samantha. He has gone very far west. As far west as there is to go, before the sea is reached. That's the whole world, isn't it?]
The library is of equal use, I'm afraid. Nor do the staff here seem to be willing to provide any answers.

[No, really - Tus. She'll get over it eventually. Maybe.
Well, probably not.]
That I'm going to have to see for myself.
[Yeah, you small minded little Persian. That's the end of the world as you know it :U]
Oh, great. Even the library? [COME ON. GIVE HER A BONE, HERE.]
...Is there at least plumbing throughout the building.
[Plumbing not really being translatable, but she still thinks you're just joshing her.]

[Pffft. It is the end of Persia, which means it is the end of the world!]
Even the library, I'm afraid. I have not been here long enough to cover everything, but what I have found does not look promising.
[And then he's going to blink for a moment, because nope, not translating, and he's not entirely sure what she's asking. Of course, he probably could look at the journal's text, but while actually holding a conversation without a text intermediary, it doesn't occur to him.]
Forgive me, but, erm. Is what through the building?
Reply
Great, thanks.
[NO. NO. NO THAT JUST. NO.
And she’s just gonna go check that library out for herself later, okay. Cause. That can’t be right. It just can’t. Libraries are awesome and amazing and full of books and texts and old things to read. YOU CANNOT DEPRIVE HER OF A LIBRARY, KEEP.]
Plumbing. Toilets, showers, washing machines, the whole drill. Indoor plumbling.
