One thing about being on sabbatical is that I have time to catch up on old chores. Things like pruning an ewe bush (tree sized now), which I see from the rings was last done about 20 years ago. did they give you an iPad at work, when you were working on that game?

i am contemplating getting an iPad 3. i originally bought my iPad 2 purely for development, but i find i use it a lot. i'll probably wait until my income stabilizes, though.

Someone else got the work iPad2. Fortunately we have one at home, which I originally got to keep my mom occupied while recovering from minor surgery. It's since proved to be very useful (or time wasting depending on your point of view) and quite popular in the house.

I've also seen the iPad3. Looks nice, and is slightly better featured (more RAM etc). If you get the cellular network radio option, it's nifty to have it while traveling. Though it does chew through the battery if you're using it for real time map display. But still, that's pretty amazing, James Bondish map technology!
