Sherlock Season 2, Episode 1

Some quick and dirty thoughts on the Sherlock Season 2 premiere. Generally positive, but one major gripe:

The Good:
-- I liked the resolution to the cliffhanger, just because I didn't see it coming. Not going to lie: I loled.
-- Loooooved Irene in general. Smart, sexy, morally ambiguous -- fantastic.
-- Sherlock and John are super in love. However, Sherlock/Irene is hot. I approve of both of these facts.
-- Mrs. Hudson is awesome, and Sherlock knows it. Fantastic!
-- The plot was generally pretty engaging. I'll have to re-watch to really say how much I liked it on that level.

The Bad:
-- I HATED the resolution of Irene's password. First of all, I didn't want her to be THAT in love with Sherlock - I preferred the idea of a mutual attraction/fascination that wasn't ~love.~ Bu,t more importantly, I just don't buy that someone as smart as Iene would have a password of ANY significance. This is something that generally bugs me in fiction since I use random passwords for anything that matters even a bit, but I can generally buy that "normal" characters have emotionally significant passwords. But Irene Adler? I'm sorry, she's smarter than that. It was a good scene for drama, but it just makes no sense to me.

TBH, it made me miss Veronica Mars. And then want a Veronica Mars/Sherlock crossover.

Still, I'm very much looking forward to the rest of the series!
