Welcome to the dark side. No just kidding, there's nothing wrong with doing crossovers. Especially if you know what you're doing. Plus the big advantage is that more times than not, there's actually more characters you're interested in than in single fandoms. Which is why I almost never do single fandom stories. Supernatural and Glee, I could only imagine how a crossover like that would be like.
Good luck with the self-publishing. Make sure you talked to some people of course just so you know what you're doing and how to do it. Good luck on the moving too. Nothing's worse than moving somewhere, only for things to become a disaster that you end up moving back to where you left from.
I haven't done a cross over before, so I am a little bit nervous. But I just plan on plotting it out very carfully and hopefully that will help some. But I still don't know what I am going to write about exactly....the inspiratoin just hasn't come to me yet.
With self-publishing I am doing a lot of research and talking with people who have done it themselves to learn from their experiences. I'm still editing things through what I have written too with my books, trying to figure otu what would be the best one to start with to publish through.
I hope that moving will be an okay decision. I have been thinking about it for a couple of years, and where I am right now...I don't things could get worse from how they are now. I'm just really wanting to move somewhere that is more open minded and accepting. Where I am living now just isn't working for me at all.
Well it sounds like you're taking the right steps with the self publishing.
The place you're at sounds terrible. Some people believe that if their lives are crummy enough, that it's worth taking the risk than staying in the life they have currently. Though of course it's ultimately your decision if you think it's worth it enough. I can only hope things work out the best for you at the end.
