So I gave notice yesterday - by email - never a good idea in my opinion. I will have to face the boss today to see how things pan out.

You've handed your notice in, what can they do.. say 'No! You've got to stay!'.

It's a brave step forward, but it's far better than causing yourself ill health. Good on you, I say. Hopefully, I'll be doing the same soon too!
