Jersey St. betrayal

I am so mad at my neighborhood right now. So disappointed in it.

Jersey St. between Fargo and Prospect, how could you do this to me? After all the times I have confidently defended your honor, your reputation? Why would you shit on me like this? How am I supposed to feel about you now? This morning when I opened the door to get into my car, things ( Read more... )

It was just such a strange, foreign feeling. I hope it doesn't happen again anytime soon!

(And congrats, by the way, on your job situation! It's awesome!)

Well, you live in a better area than I do, for sure. I mean, don't worry too much about it -- it could happen anywhere, anyway. (See below comments)

Hey, I would love to see you before you leave for Virginia. Maybe we could show each other our new apartments quick or something?

i'm not really sure what side of jersey you live on. i noticed this morning on my way to the 190 that it crosses porter, not just stems off it. i assume you live on the side opposite of the one touching richmond. the houses on jersey are sooo gorgeous! anyway, yes, we absolutely should show eachother our gorgeous appartments. give me a little while to get the 30 (no, literally) boxes out of my dining room so it looks a little more presentable!! aha. i would LOVE to see yours though, from the pictures of pre-move it was absolutely stunning. these old houses have so much character, its just amazing. although, im a bit certain that we have child-aged ghosts in ours.. :/

Yeah, I live two blocks up from Niagara St., between Prospect and Fargo. I've seen your house on Porter, I think -- is it brown? Looks very nice, I love all those houses on Porter, too.

I still have tons of boxes to unpack in the dining room, too. Mostly books and records that we don't have shelving for just yet! But just let me know when you'd like to come over anyway. It's somewhat presentable in its current state. :)

I want to hear more about your ghosts! Sometimes we think that we have them, but I don't get any really strong vibes for it, so who knows. The house was built in 1870, so you have to figure there's something lingering around...

Me, too! I think I am even going to clear EVERYTHING out so it is obvious that there is nothing to steal whatsoever. It's a good excuse to be a clean freak about my car, if anything.

i know how that feels. you never realize how horrible it feels to have someone invade your personal space and rummage through your personal things until it happens to you. both my car and my family's house has been broken into and luckily nothing was taken, but it still feels so violating.

It really does! I was surprised at my reaction, because it wasn't like I was violated on my person or anything. It's just so sad that there are people out there who do shit like that -- it makes me feel exposed and vulnerable somehow.
