All the season finales are over, except for Lost next week and I got a very disparate load of stuff. I watch 7 TV shows: Moonlight, Bones, One Tree Hill, Lost, Smallville, Supernatural and of course SGA. I only have Lost left and then that's it. A month and a half without TV shows till July 11th. What will I do?'1 I'll probably study.

The thing with Max Brennan is not whether or not they knew he did it - the thing is proving beyond a 'reasonable doubt' to twelve strangers that he was the murderer. Implicating (Tempe) Brennan as a possible alternative cast 'reasonable doubt' on the matter - she had means, motive, and opportunity to do so.
Max Brennan's "mitigation" in all this is that he killed to protect his family from someone who would have killed them first. The argument I believe we're supposed to take up is "pre-emptive strike" - that the FBI director would have killed Russ and Tempe simply to bring Max Brennan out into the open.

He's always had sympathy for Max and his 'righteous thief' angle. It's just that we've seen Booth profess some very strong opinions about killers (cop killers even) and what they deserve and him deserting all those views for Bones doesn't sit well with me.
Bones is the being of absolute truths and proof, Booth goes with his gut and the only reason he helped out Max is for Bones. What he did in front of that jury he wouldn't have done for anyone else and I really don't like that. Even his answers were focused on Bones and her character rather than the matter that brought him into that courtroom: getting Max, the man he arrested, convicted ( ... )
