here personality:
One of the important things to note about Peggy is her professionalism. She's dedicated to her job and always puts one hundred percent in no matter what the circumstances are. She has to deal with a lot of prejudice due to her circumstances as a woman serving within the military. Her post is one that many would think would be best performed by a man. Peggy rises above this prejudice and disregard for her abilities with strength, poise and grace, refusing to let anyone think that she isn't capable. For example, when a soldier questions her credibility, she punches him in the jaw without a second thought.
Aside from her cool exterior, Peggy has a temper and can sometimes be jealous. This is shown by her reaction to Steve being kissed by one of the other women who worked at a desk in the unit. After they argue, Peggy says that it doesn't bother her, it clearly does and this is proven a few hours later when Steve shows her the shield he will be using as Captain America. Before, Steve and Howard were unsure of how effective the shield was. Peggy picks up a pistol and fires it at the shield, the bullets bouncing off it. She then says that it works and walks away without another word. Peggy was hurt by Steve's earlier actions and that was her way of showing it.
However, Peggy is also an emphatic person, in tune with her emotions and full of passion. She worries if someone she cares about is in danger and would do anything to help them, even if it meant endangering her own life. Peggy expresses grief when she believes that she has lost Steve when he decided to take down Schmidt; she had developed some feelings for him and knowing that she would never see him again does have an emotional impact upon Peggy. When she met him, Peggy saw something in Steve that no one else did and throughout the time she knew him, she never lost faith and always stood beside him, believing in his goodness and his heroism.
Peggy has seen the horrors of war and has been through a lot in her time. Despite this, she always remains calm and professional in a fight, shooting at the driver in a getaway car without flinching. She helps Steve in another battle alongside other men and does so without question. Peggy is extremely loyal and would always fight with those she counts as friends and comrades. If you gain her respect, then you can pretty much guarantee that she would back you up no matter what the situation was.
She has a very dry wit and enjoys a bit of banter. Her interactions with Howard Stark are an example of that. Peggy isn't without a sense of humour and knows how to have fun if the situation calls for it. She is also very well-presented and suitably dressed: as shown by her wearing full uniform when she's on duty and the red dress when she walks into the bar. Peggy sometimes likes to make an impression; whether it be a professional or personal one.
In short, Peggy Carter is a compassionate, loyal and brilliant. Maintaining grace and doing her job with dignity. Someone you can count on in a fight. But not without her flaws.
abilities/powers:
Peggy is an excellent marks-woman and is skilled with a firearm. She is trained in combat situations and is a lot more physically fit than other women from her era due to her training. Peggy is also fluent in several languages due to her experience as a spy and can pick up things fairly quickly.
She would also be able to understand military protocol and procedures as well as being able to train someone to learn them. Peggy is intelligent and resourceful, putting all her skills and knowledge to good use when the situation calls for it.
One of Peggy's weaknesses would be her feelings for Steve. Someone could exploit this and use it against her. Losing someone that she cared about is also a weakness of hers and although it might take a while for Peggy to make friends, she still wouldn't want anything to happen to them.
Anyone who sided with her enemies would not go down well with Peggy. She is very loyal to her cause and job back home. Talking about the war might bring up some bad memories for Peggy so someone would have to tread very carefully around the topic.
Her temper and tendency to get jealous could also be seen as a weakness. There's a chance that it may cause Peggy to act irrationally and not make a good judgement on something. Moreover, someone could exploit these traits of her as well.
Although Peggy has been in a lot of difficult situations and had to deal with a lot of things, she would be afraid of the unknown or things she doesn't understand. Until she gets all the information she needed and was able to assess the environment she was thrust into, Peggy would be extremely cautious and tread carefully.
first person sample:
[audio]
This is rather a strange device. Not quite a radio and yet... [The voice is faint at first, distinctly English until it becomes slightly clearer.]
Hello? Is there anyone there?
[The audio fizzes a bit.] Damn..bloody device..if only Howard...
[There's a tapping sound, as if someone was hitting the device.]
Hello? [Her efforts seemed to have paid off, the fizzing sound gone.]
My name is Agent Carter and I have been brought here against my will. I refuse to be held captive and I demand to be released from here immediately. There are people relying on me at home.
It would be in your best interest to pay heed to what I'm saying because you really don't want to have the full force of the military raining down on you.
That will be all for now.
[She cuts the feed.]
third person sample:
Peggy was trained to expect the unexpected, to deal with almost impossible situations whilst keeping a cool head.
Which was why she didn't scream when she found herself in what seemed like a morgue, a tag attached to her toe and covered only in a thin, backless gown. She was more focused on assessing the situation she was in before making any rash decisions.
Something caught her eye.
Peggy glanced down at the item, figuring that it was some kind of communicator. So unusual looking. It was unlike anything she had seen before, though she knew that Howard would be fascinated with such a thing. Was it possible that there were others here? Taken like her? If there were others here that were kidnapped like her, she had to devise a plan to get everyone out safe and sound. That was what Peggy would do back home and even if she was in a strange, unknown place, it wouldn't stop her from trying to do what she needed to do.
It's what Steve would have wanted her to do.
Thinking about him hurt because she would never see him again. Peggy understood why he had done it and she thought of Steve as a hero; but it didn't take the pain away. She could never tell him how she really felt and they would never be able to have that date that they wanted. Now she was somewhere unknown and it made things a whole lot worse. Peggy wanted to break down and cry, let everything come out at once, hoping that it would make her feel better. But feeling sorry for herself wouldn't do her any favours. It wouldn't get her out of here. She knew what she had to do.
Nothing was going to stop her.
