So that means you're volunteering to help, right? :D You have good upper body strength, you can help me wrestle the thing onto the stnad to jack the car off it...
It costs upwards of $1600 to have a professional do it, which is far more than I'm willing to pay. If I could get it done for under $400, I'd just do that and be done with it.
But honestly, it's not that dangerous... as long as you don't do anything stupid (like having your face underneath the transmission while it's being lowered), there's not that much that can really go wrong. the more of us there are, the lower the risk of injury. The only really dangerous part is acctually pullng the thing out from underneath or lifting it back into place, and I plan to avoid both of those steps by lowering the car onto a wood transmission cradle, THEN remove the last couple of bolts, and then jack the car off the transmission. And then the reverse for re-mounting it.
"BE CAREFUL as this care WILL SEVERELY HURT/KILL YOU IF IT FALLS ON YOU!!!!!!!! Positioning the Jack Stands on the beams of car just behind the Steering rack will work fine"
