Title: Prayer at Ocean Side
Author: agunagirlafix
Fandom: The History of Middle Earth
Character: Ainarë
Rating: G
Prompt: 011 Only from 100_women
Word Count: 246

“Uinen, lady of the sea,” she said, years after they had left, knowing the prayer was fruitless, but somehow, it comforted her, “Calm Ossë, your husband, and his tendency of wrath and save another woman from hearing about the death of her children before her time and the loss of her true love.” She had been unable to leave Aman, departing for that land of Middle-Earth where all the promise was. So she was the only one left of her family, in the land they had awoken in, quiet. Rarely did the Elves speak their prayers aloud, especially to a Maia, but hearing the words spoken, years later, gave her a sense of peace and gave her the sense that she was not alone, not the only one of her family left. “Fingolfen, Fingon, Turgon, Aredhel, and Argon are their names,” she said softly, leaving a lily at the ocean side, tears in her eyes. There was no way for her to know if Uinen had heard her prayer, and she rationally knew it was too late for that gentle lady of the sea to do anything. If Ossë was to take her family, he would have already done so, but hearing her words spoken aloud gave her a sense of peace. She was alone, the only one of her family left in Aman, but something told her, perhaps the roar of the ocean’s waves, that she was not the only one of her family left.

Title: Where is the Hope?
Author: agunagirlafix
Fandom: The Silmarillion
Character: Nienna
Rating: G
Prompt: 012 Tears from 100_women
Word Count: 249

Perhaps the only one who had known her was Gandalf, and it only made sense his raiment was grey, like her simple clothes. He was her Istari to cut back on the suffering of the world and she was the Valie who cried for each scar upon the earth and every murder and untimely death. All the Valar found Melkor, Morgoth, to be their true enemy, but it was Nienna who shed the tears to grieve for his evil-the watering of Ellozar, the cleansing of the filth of Ungoliant from Laurelin and Telperion, crying over the husks of the two trees, nurturing the fruit that became the sun and the moon. But as the ages marched on, it seemed she only had more to cry about, her tears never ending.

What evil corrupted this world so terribly that not even the Valar aided the children of Arda? She knew, inherently, that more and more Elves were making their way to Valinor, escaping the miseries of Middle Earth. But what could she do but cry in her solitude for every stain the Maia Sauron left on Eä?

All she could do was let out the grief and hope that her pupil, clad in the same grey as she, had the strength to be able to guide the children of Arda to a time of healing. A time where tears need not be shed, for it was healing and happiness they would sing at the end of the Fourth Age.

Title: Death
Author: agunagirlafix
Fandom: The Silmarillion
Character: Lalaith
Rating: PG
Prompt: 013 Laughter from 100_women
Word Count: 119

Urwen was never called by her given name because of her gleeful demeanor. The nurses spoke fervently about this Edain who seemed like an Elf-child, her laughter like the gurgling of a creek, sprouting from a mother whose beauty was only surpassed by the legendary Lúthien. But it was coughs, not laughs that came from Lalaith when she hadn’t even passed out of childhood, her shining face struck sickly pale. Who could laugh when struck down by the plague? She died, her entire family around her, clasping Túrin, her older brother’s hand, her mother watching from the corner, with a smile on her face. Even in death, Lalaith was a happy child, laughing, even if her body could not.

Title: Sacrifice
Author: agunagirlafix
Fandom: Final Fantasy IV
Character: Porom
Rating: G
Prompt: 014 Hope from 100_women
Word Count: 209

As a white mage, touched by the darker powers of her twin brother, she was told she was supposed to seek healing in the world, but alongside Palom, she was brought into the forefront of battle to save the world. She saw it as a chance to heal-heal more than the sick and ailing that came to the tower, but heal the world from the scars it had endured. Palom had always been immature, making stupid jokes and acting all of his six years, but Porom, having experienced death and the inability to bring someone back too many times, was the composed one, acting much too old for her age.

It had been her idea. She had managed to convince Palom that it was a good one, the only real chance they could take. They were all going to die anyway if she didn’t do it.

The stone spell, forged together with that mystical bond between the twins was powerful beyond anything anyone could have imagined. They, in a moment of self-sacrifice had given the world a small hope, but beyond that, she had her faith in her brother restored and the feeling that this was the healing, the preventative of hurt, that she had been fated to.

Title: Emotions
Author: agunagirlafix
Fandom: Erim
Character: Lufia I
Rating: PG
Prompt: 015 Fear from 100_women
Word Count: 146

Fear was not an emotion a Sinistral was supposed to have. They were not gods, but they were not human, either. They were simply there to test the power of the land and make sure that the humans were still worthy of the world and the Dual Blade.

It must have been residing in that girl’s body for too long that made her weak. Erim had panic growing in her chest, but she wasn’t sure if it was the fear that she was about to die or the fact that Lufia and the one of Maxim’s bloodline might not be able to kill her.

Fear was not an emotion a Sinistral was supposed to have, so how could she understand it? She was the one who held the bonds together of each of them, the Mistress of Death, yet she was crying, because she was afraid.
