my family doesnt wait for the holidays to make fun of me...they do it all the time...frequently actually.
once in a while i will make fun of them back...cus its all friendly banter right...well they start yelling at me for criticizing them because i think that 'i am so much better than them'.
but that really is just my dad and sister...the rest of the family is pretty cool with any quick one-liners i throw at them.

Sorry you had such a crappy time. That sounds spot-on for a typical U-Joe Thanksgiving. I did it once and have never gone back. It's just amazing how rude they can be, especially because once upon a time we were all friends. And now they're just assholes. Don't worry about it, I mean, it's their loss if they choose to ignore the music or anything you've done since you were 10. Remember, they've all spent their entire lives in small-town Michigan. Poop on them. Don't go to anymore stupid parties. After my so-called graduation party I've written them off completely. Anyway, you should've come to DC, but there's always Christmas. It will be a much better time!

Sorry your Thanksgiving wasn't great; most family holidays aren't. If it makes you feel any better, I once received a box of kleenex as a Christmas gift from one of my aunts.

DUde. I'm sorry. Family gatherings really blow. I ended up just playing Super Mario World with my 9 yr old sister while everyone else reminesced and played family board games. Again, you have my sympathy.
