it is with deep sadness that i must inform you that my ti-83 has passed away. He lived a short but meaningful life. He was a good friend, i could always count on him(pun intended) during math tests and competitions. He was even worshiped as a god a few times in spanish class. i will always remember the good times we've shared ( Read more... )

he's not really dead, he is just in a coma. he's still alive, but useless. i try to turn it on and it turns off in a couple of seconds. probably something wrong with the power. and i already tried replacing batteries.

leave it without batteries for a few months and then put some in and it might work. Sounds crazy but its happened to me before

I'm so sorry that your TI-83 passed away... I'll be there for you in case you need any grief counseling! haha... yeah my old one from high school died a while ago, I had to borrow a friend's who doesn't need it anymore to replace my dead one. and yes, they can certainly be worshipped as gods in some classes... lol!
