I'm liking this so much MORE. Thanks goes to my wonderful friend and crit partner, Sarah Brannen with helping me with the perspective. This is still very rough and needs tweaking, it's the beginning of the French Grey underlayment for the grisaile.

Is the girl closer to us turning around to catch the seated woman's glance? Or just turning to "hear?" She appears to be doing the latter-their glances aren't connecting.

The woman seated appears to be talking "into the room."

Some minor tweaks to their direction of sight will connect these two better if that's what you want.

Nice composition.
