[The PCD is set on a table and Horst, yawning, steps in front of it. He's wearing the same style clothing as everyone else, but he doesn't seem overly excited by them.]

Not bad. Wrong color for this 'out of the grave' look I've developed, but on the whole I give you a 9 out of 10, Animus.

Good Lord, I'm still exhausted.

[PCD off, Horst is going ( Read more... )

[Yuca smiles politely at him, nodding his head a little. It's hard to see everything that he's wearing, but there's definitely a cravat and a nice looking jacket- and it looks natural on him, like he knows how to wear these types of things.]

You look very dashing, Horst.

[Horst grins and tips his hat] As do you! I think we ought to show the disgruntled denizens how this is done.

Why thank you, good sir.

[He laughs.]

And how do you propose we do that?

A parade, of course! Or at the very least, marching about through the city as an example.

-=Hawke doesn't look happy. He's inside, and shirtless as always.=-

Someone has taken my cloths.

But replaced them with something better! Cheer up there, Hawke, the ladies love a good cravat!

...Well. You could just wear the hat, then. Nothing else. It makes a statement.

Alright! Prepare for a great modeling show!

[He applauds] Very nice! Even your hair's done up right; ah, it's like home!

[Katara looks amused. She's never really encountered dress like this before, and, really? It's kind of fascinating. She grins at the feed.]

Better than the sun being up all of the time, I guess?

Much! [He grins and makes a twirly motion with his finger] Come on, let's see what you've got on!

[She grins and seems pleased, setting the PCD up and backing away a bit before spinning in a circle. It's a ridiculous green and white dress, poofed and ruffled. Her hair is laying over her shoulder, half-braided; apparently she's been experimenting with styles. Sheepishly, she picks up the comm device again.]

Do women somewhere actually wear clothing like this? It seems like it'd - well, get in the way.

[Although he's learned to appreciate a variety of customary fashions, he never pictured Katara in anything from his homeland. He applauds her and grins] You look fantastic!

Yeah, they do get in the way a bit. But women where I come from mainly stay at home; they don't need to run around or climb trees.

I can't say I approve of the change... But you look as though you're familiar with these sort of items?

ahandsomedevil December 20 2010, 00:51:30 UTC
Quite! They went out of fashion when I was twenty or so, but don't tell my brother. He's convinced the style will come back.

[he looks down and shrugs] I guess he was right this time.

I thought it looked a bit familiar, but I haven't visited that part of the human world in some time... It's more uncomfortable than I imagined.

Is the male version easier?

ahandsomedevil December 20 2010, 01:09:47 UTC
Much easier, yes. I think men have always had the lazier version of fashion; no corsets or stockings or heels to worry about. You seem to be settling into the style easily, though.
