Simon is canonically a huge geek. The extent to which is only covered on his twitter, his facebook, and his youtube profile. However, what I've discerned is that he's a science fiction movie/television show fan, gamer, and reader of comic books. I'd also guess that he has at least a passing knowledge of Japanese media, but he seems more the type to ( Read more... )

OKAY. I'm going to break this up because I have weird canons and also I am a nerd.

Games
Aurica's canon was released in the European region but ... for some really bizarre reason was only released in Italy. God only knows why, when the vast majority of the game is in English. Anyway, your call on that one!

Colette and Emil's canons were both released in Europe and at least here had a fairly wide release. So he can definitely recognise them (...though Emil's canon took forever to get a localisation).

Luke's was not released in Europe so if he's an import gamer then sure otherwise he wouldn't. (He may, however, be kind of annoyed and resentful that Namco never fucking release anything in Europe.)

Comics
Traci, Steph and Julian are all fair game.

Books
uhhh, while Ronan is from a relatively well known science-fiction series, Simon may not read sci-fi. I'm not sure. Though actually I write this to ask if Ronan can know who Simon is. XD

Manga
Elliot is ... well if you think he would then sure otherwise I don't mind.

The Doctor is exceptionally easygoing about the fictional thing. So whatever you like. He MIGHT notice Simon following him around after a while, since he's hyperobservant. But yeah it's all good.

Raidou's first game was released in Europe, but his second game wasn't. I don't think P3P has been released in Europe either, but if he's an import gamer it wouldn't be totally impossible for him to have played Minako's game. Of course, that's assuming he has an interest in JRPGs in general and/or Megaten in particular, which obviously isn't a given. Raidou is uneasy about the fictional thing, but he's heard tons of meta from Raiho and knows from Souji that there is a television show about his family.

Reid is from a crime show and probably doesn't apply; however, there's an outside chance that he's heard of and/or watched Misfits, as he is also canonically a geek and fan of science fiction.

P3P has been released in Europe! I have it. Also it's region free so a lot of more niche stores just imported it anyway.
