A knock on the door made him pause in thought and head pop up a little. Cayden? No, Cayden was in class. Ravel blinked before climbing out of bed, blanket still wrapped around him, a long pajama tank top over flannel pants little protection from the cooling weather. Curious, he unlocked the door and pulled it open quickly, a playful grin on his face.
"Who is it!"

He chuckled a little as he finally took in her attire. She was still in pajamas at this hour? He supposed he couldn't fault her for the blanket wrapped around her, though. He had thought it had been rather cold when he had gotten off the plane, after all...
"Someone who is very happy to see that smile of yours," he said at long last, offering a little smile back.

". . .Alec?" A warm look of delight replaced the surprise as Ravel almost pounced forward to give his bodyguard- and cousin- a hug.
"Alec sweetie!"

At least this was enough confirmation for him. Ravel was fine and he could start attempting to calm down. There hadn't been some sort of disaster. She was right here hugging him, and Alec found himself smiling a little bit more as he held her close. All that mattered was her now and that she was safe; scolding her for calling him "sweetie" could wait.
