Wandering the halls of Loki Court alone, Alec had to wonder at his lack of common sense. Had he bothered to tell Ravel he was coming to Countshire today beforehand, he could have saved himself the headache of trying to deal with a tiny map of Countshire he had printed out before he left Australia. At least a random student had taken pity on him and ( Read more... )

Ravel stretched out on the bed, curled around his extra pillow, long blonde hair spilled over the cream colored matching bed set. He made a little happy noise as he debated how much longer he could stay in the warm bed, the comforter pooled in a mountain around him. The clock on his showed 9:04 but he ignored it as he peeked over his pillow down to the floor, wondering if he should get up to go get another book from the library. Or go visit Dom. Or just go lie at the park and go-

A knock on the door made him pause in thought and head pop up a little. Cayden? No, Cayden was in class. Ravel blinked before climbing out of bed, blanket still wrapped around him, a long pajama tank top over flannel pants little protection from the cooling weather. Curious, he unlocked the door and pulled it open quickly, a playful grin on his face.

"Who is it!"

The rustling inside indicated that, yes, she was in. Excellent. He waited patiently for her to open the door, taking a moment or two to take in her grinning face once she did. How long had it been since he had last seen her smile? It felt like forever. Now that he was here, he wouldn't be without it, fortunately, providing he actually managed to keep her happy.

He chuckled a little as he finally took in her attire. She was still in pajamas at this hour? He supposed he couldn't fault her for the blanket wrapped around her, though. He had thought it had been rather cold when he had gotten off the plane, after all...

"Someone who is very happy to see that smile of yours," he said at long last, offering a little smile back.

Ravel's long hair was still a bit messy from sleeping and completely down covering the front of his shoulders and part of his chest. He gaped at Alec for a bit, mouth opening even as his hand came down from the door frame to his mouth. The blanket slipped off one shoulder a little.

". . .Alec?" A warm look of delight replaced the surprise as Ravel almost pounced forward to give his bodyguard- and cousin- a hug.

"Alec sweetie!"

He had been expecting the pounce and had adjusted accordingly, widening his stance just enough so he wouldn't topple over when Ravel sprung forward to give him a hug. After hesitating for a moment, he returned the hug, closing his eyes.

At least this was enough confirmation for him. Ravel was fine and he could start attempting to calm down. There hadn't been some sort of disaster. She was right here hugging him, and Alec found himself smiling a little bit more as he held her close. All that mattered was her now and that she was safe; scolding her for calling him "sweetie" could wait.

"Hello, Ravel."
