I moved all my stuff back home then headed for Durango Colorado. This is my home for the next 2+ months at least. I love my job... I love the people I work with. I love working outdoors and I love doing something that I feel really matter..... even at the small level at which I am doing it at. the southwest conservation corp. Its part of the Americorp National Conservation Corp. My job is basically conserving lands in the Parks, forests, etc. through out the 4 corners region (utah, colorado, arizona, and new mexico) . We go out on the field for 11 days on a specific project... and that varies based on who we are doing it for. We just do a wide range of conservation projects on the land. I HIGHLY recommend doing this if it is anywhere close to your cup of tea. You get paid to basically camp and work outside. The people I work for are very laid back and supper cool. I can give you a good reference if you are interested for sure. I'm thinking about maybe trying out the Montana conservation corp next perhaps or stay on down here... I dunno. So many choices.
