One of my favorite movies ever is one from the 80's called Local Hero.

I watched it the other day, and noticed the awesome composition of one of the shots, and how it just summed up something I loved.

That is why there are Local Hero icons below. If anyone else knows the movie, let me know with all speed. If not, go rent it with all the same ( Read more... )

I love that movie, and these are lovely. I haven't seen it in far too long. Must go see if I've got a copy around here somewhere. If I do, it's probably a very old VHS. ;-)

Aw, how awesome that you know it! I always say Local Hero is the movie Waking Ned Devine wanted to be. And thank you. :D

I really wanted to put some text on the one of Marina and Danny, either a little squiggle leading to a heart or at least part of the line "You say the darndest things, Marina," because I always just love that, but I couldn't find a font or a way to do it that satisfied me. Maybe later. Did this. (God I'm obsessive...)

(I also wanted one of everyone in the church pressed up against the windows listening to Mac talk to the Reverend outside, ("The Reverend says news travels fast around here!") but I forgot that one. Son of maybe later.)

I LOVE this wonderful film! The Story, the people, the landscape and don't forget the music. I think this is the only film soundtrack I ever bought... And while hearing the music I still get flashes of the film - and I saw it years ago... Thanks for the reminder - I bought the DVD, now I will have to go and watch it :-)
