It is my favourite book.

Although as soon as I say that, the other top four spring to mind too, as if to say, "We're all your favourite!" (Being The Secret Garden, The Once and Future King, Dandelion Wine, and City of Bells. You would definitely like the middle two, I think, and possibly the latter. How do I know this? I don't, really.)

You should, though, read the Peter and the Starcatchers trilogy by Ridley Pearson and Dave Barry. They're prequels of a sort. They're a good romp, and they don't spoil Barrie's Pan (though they're a little more favourable toward him). I am always exceedingly wary of prequels and books written by a different author than the original author and retakes on fairy tales, as a rule, but I forgave these books for all three faults shortly after starting them.

Sword and the Stone is very different from the others. More of a children's book. I haven't read the whole series/set/tome/quadrilogy-in-four-to-five parts in a while, but the Ill-Made Knight is my favourite book in it by far.

Dandelion Wine is by Ray Bradbury, and I love it. He takes things that are impossible to describe and then describes them. And the oddest details and scenes of the book will stick in your brain for the rest of your life and you won't know why.

Have you been reading anything good lately? I am in need of new stories to get into.
