oh wow, i just finished the DVD of Return of The Jedi, and at the end when it shows Anakin, Yoda, and Obi-Wan, The replaced the original Vader with Hayden Christensen, WTF. That's such crap..he sucks at life and shouldn't be in the original. That is all kthx.

shh no one cares but you. his face never appeared in the original except for one scene, no one misses him. this will be better recognized by millions of viewers.

though they should have made anakin look old at least. although that would require Shaw to be replaced in the unmasking scene.

There's an argument here, and I'd be happy to discuss it with you, but I'm not gonna clutter up Chris's LJ with it. I've seen that particular argument turn awry many a time on messageboards. Heck, you can probably find it if you look a bit.

They shouldn't replace him at all, hayden christensen wasnt fricken alive in the 70's. it's totally out of place, unlike most of the other adjustments. The guy did a fine job playing vader, and was already upset at his undue credit. Give the guy a break, let him have his moment frmo behind the mask, not replace it with some no-talent canadian actor.

its not his movie, he already had his fame and money. for 27 years shaw has been in the movie, and it's not as if he's suddenly being deleted. the old version is still there, it's not like they are re-calling every original star wars movie that was sold. the problem wouldn't be that Shaw would be upset, the problem would be that everyone else would get pissed over an insignificant change that doesn't really mean that much at all in the overall effect of the movie.

jacob, they shouldn't make him look older because he didn't die old... he died when he was consumed by the dark side. that's probably why lucas didn't change his appearance.

when i said he was upset about not getting credit, i was referring to the man inside the suit. I thought the ghost at the end was the same guy, if it isn't then i am mistaken, and then i dont really care about hte guy who played the ghost. But i do think hayden christensen sucks at life and shouldnt be in the original.

The dude in the suit is David Prowse. The man who was the "face of Vader" was Sebastian Shaw. Prowse was never seen, and thankfully never talked. (Listen to some of the extras on the DVDs, and you'll see why.)

And you did see Episode III, right? Or did you not notice that Christensen did a pretty bang-up job?
