well, you know i've never owned a car, but tejal's family SWEARS by camrys. they have 3 of them, and i don't think any of them have had any major problems (tejal's has 160,000 miles on it). they're dependable, good gas mileage, you can drive them forever and they have decent trunk space. plus you can get a late 90's one for 5-8k (depending on mileage).

we are leaning rather heavily towards a used honda or toyota - good mileage, reliable, tend to do well in safety tests...

cool. i was laughing that if we got a used green cr-v, and had the family over, we would match deb & james's brother. we'd have our own little fleet.

but if we got a corolla, and visited my mom, we could park next to her blue one and kurt's black one.

what is entertaining is that those are definitely cars we're considering.
