OH MY GOD! YOU DON'T KNOW "A CHORUS LINE?!"

DON'T SEE THE MOVIE.
GET THE BOOK.
GET THE CD.
AND, GO SEE PITTSBURGH MUSICAL THEATRE STUDENT PAUL MCGILL IN THE REVIVAL.

And, if you're looking for someting not based on anything, "Drowsy Chaperone."

And, most musicals are based on something. I'm not a fan of the movie thing, but a lot of musicals are based on books.

If you're up in time, go see "Grey Gardens." Its Broadway transfer is coming up and all I've read is that it's beautiful and amazing. "Color Purple" looks good.

Seriously, "Chorus Line" is amazing. DON'T GET THE MOVIE, THOUGH. The movie destroys the show....entirely destroys it. If you see the revival, you will not be disappointed. I know one of the kids in it, Charlotte D'Amboise is in it, and they're doing the Michael Bennett choreography. And, trust me, you don't get much better than Bennett, especially when it comes to that show.

Oh, and another thing: It's not a revival of "Les Miz." They did the same thing with a few shows before. WSS comes immediately to mind. It played Broadway, the Broadway production went on tour, and then, the same production that played Broadway earlier came back. So, it's not really a revival.

thank you teddy. i wasn´t planning on seeing the movie, i´ve decided that i´m never going to see the movie versions of musicals until i have seen the actual musical. and even then maybe not. and i don´t think drowsey will be out when i go up again, either in may or in july. i really wish i had seen it instead of rent, but my sibs would have been pissed, since they don´t like...well... real musicals.

i listened to the company obc last night, thought about it, it might not be bad... i will judge it when i see it.
