( Sam was decadent in what I can only describe as a Chinese cheongsam that had been sewn together by the hands of an interpretive dance troupe for the blind. I could smell her from where I stood. She smelled of hot curry and small wet angora rabbits. Somehow, I knew she was angry. )

I awoke to the sound of tigers growling outside my window, the usual wake up call in these parts. I shattered the pane of glass and breathed in the acrid, yet sweet, smell of mustard gas and watched as the behemoth felines flitted from tree branch to tree branch.
To this day I am wholly unaware of what exactly Bunderhosen consists of, knowing only that it is the successful brother in law of Lederhosen, who silently resents him at Christmas gatherings for being not only successful, but good looking as well.
