It's not Alex who finds him first, though.
It's David, standing at the edge of the booth, not inviting himself in, hovering in peripheral vision.
Can I join you?

And if he tenses at David's presence, well... it's not particularly obvious.
He looks up at David for a long moment, expressionlessly, before his eyes flicker over to the other side of the booth.
It is, perhaps, as much of an invitation as David is likely to get, now.

He slides in, gently, quietly.
And says nothing.
The silence is not a comfortable one.

It's not.
And after a moment, he's not looking at David anymore, as he goes back to waiting, perhaps for Alex, perhaps for David to simply speak.
