I love this photo, but you already know that. Question: how do you ask someone if you can take their photograph and not have them change how they were for the camera?

well - thanks so much...thank you.

i never ask ppl if i can take their photo...i generally
work them in to photos that i'm taking in a particular area and the picture(s) i end up taking
of them become sort of "part of the process"
of taking scenic or street photos.

i've only twice had ppl confront me on it. once in tokyo and once in new orleans. with the new orleans person, i actually ended up hanging out with (the girl) for a while...and we ended up having
a blast!
