All right. Why do people...care? I can understand if someone cares for a nice person, but...how could someone possibly care for a...well, a mean person?

Oh! Well, it's like...

When I first met Laharl-san, he was a very mean person. Most of the demons I saw were. But I couldn't believe they were nothing but cruel. So I stayed with them. And I learned that mean people are usually the ones that need care the most. People push them away just as much as people are pushed away by them. But that doesn't make them undeserving of care. A cruel streak often hides hidden pain. And even if it doesn't...a mean person can't have the same joy of friendship unless someone extends their hand to that person.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that...when it comes to caring, everyone has that potential in their hearts. And everyone deserves to feel it.
