But... there's no year of the cat.

That's why it's so sad! We want to fix that mistake.

... awww.

But why only cats? There are a lot of animals that don't have a year.

Because the cat was the only other one mentioned in the story. Other animals are welcome too!

The Year of the Cat Fanclub doesn't turn away anyone. ♥

Story? ... oh! That story.

That's certainly nice of you! How did you get the idea?

From a friend actually. Though I was kind of eccentric and always thought the idea would be fun as a child. My mom used to read the story to me when I was little. I liked it a lot even though I always ended up crying for the cat. Back then I decided I'd become Year of the Cat too, so that he had a least one friend.

That's very sweet.

I know it's kind of silly.

Did you ever have any stories or things like that as a child?

Not so much silly as something you need to have the time and mindframe for, I think.

As a child, sure, I did.

I think at the moment it might be kind of good. Lately it seems like people have been very upset. Of course it's understandable...it might be nice to try and do something a bit more light-hearted though, too.

That's true. Why don't we organize a party or something?

Yes! A party is a good idea, and I think it would be lots of fun. Giving people a reason to smile, even for just a little while, would be a very special thing.

Yes. There's a dire need for reasons to smile around here.

A cheer-up party for everyone, then?

It sounds like a plan to me. I'll do what I can for it. That might run along-side or simply work together with the club party, too. We can make it work.

I'm sure we can. Let's ask if anyone is interested on the network.
